This week we have a very special edition of our Radio Show. Our guest this week is the DJ’s DJ, one of our favorite DJ’s and producers, Danny Tenaglia. Since the early 90’s, Danny is one of the main artists regarding House and Techno. His legendary 12-hour marathon sets in Miami, during the annual Winter Music Conference, are on the books of dance music history. Danny’s releases that hit the top charts all over the globe are to many to mention and his sound has been influencing generations of DJ’s and producers, as well as clubbers all over the world in the last decades.
This set was recorded last July 27th at Sound Waves Festival, one of the best electronic Festivals in Portugal, with a massive line-up that also included Nicole Moudaber, Umek, Chus & Ceballos, Art Department, Ben Sims, Carlos Manaça, and a lot of other Artists.

NU DISCO DEEP HOUSE
Nasci em Lisboa no ano de 1963 e cedo comecei a apresentar o meu trabalho de DJ numa vertente amadora nos finais da década de 1970, em festas de garagem, aniversários e em pequenos clubes. Numa época em que os DJ’s em Portugal ainda eram figuras desconhecidas, seguia o trabalho de Lerry Levan, Laurant Garnier, Paul Oakenfold, Tony Humphries, Bob Sinclair, David Morales e Carl Cox. Por volta do ano 2000 pelas vicissitudes da vida suspendi este projecto, que foi relegado para um outro plano de importância, sem contudo deixar de seguir as novas tendências musicais e os novos DJ’s que entravam na cena da dance music. Em 2107 decidi pegar neste projecto adormecido e fazê-lo crescer, apresentando o meu trabalho a todos os que gostam de vibrar com os ritmos da mais recente música de dança, ou de antigos êxitos dos anos 70, 80 e 90 com novas remisturas. Tendo como base a House Music, apresento um trabalho que passa obrigatoriamente por alguns subgéneros tais como Soulful, Nudisco, Jackin House, Afro House ou Deep House, tornando assim cada set uma viagem pelos diferentes géneros da House Music. Passei como DJ convidado por alguns dos locais icónicos da noite lisboeta, tais como o Microclub ou o Suave e colaboro com algumas web radios das quais destaco a Rádio Lisboa.

If you were lucky enough to be at Amnesia in Ibiza in the late ’80s, chances are you limbered up to the sound of Leo Mas. Between ’85 and ’88, he and Alfredo set the agenda for the Balearic sound, with Mas’ expansive warm-up sets the blueprint for the genre-defying selector culture now blossoming in the post-Discogs world.
Something of a musical polymath, Mas’ record room is a meticulous chronicle of a voracious collector, spanning a huge range of eras and scenes, from avant-garde jazz to contemporary house and techno. As radical with his politics as he is with his records, it’s nothing less than you’d expect from someone’s whose first 7″ was the soundtrack to an Italian ’70s erotic fantasy film.
On the eve of his headline performance at The Vinyl Factory’s volcanic disco on the island of Stromboli as part of this year’s Volcano Extravaganza festival, we visited Leo Mas in Milan to get the inside track on a record collection that truly changed the game for DJs around the world.

“Sorry, I’m not a deejay”: si presenta così Giorgia Angiuli, producer di Monopoli e ora di casa tra Berlino e Firenze.
È tra gli italiani più interessanti dell’ultimo periodo prima con il progetto audiovisivo We Love, approdato nel 2010 con un album sulla BPitch di Ellen Allien e poi dal 2014 ha iniziato a far parte della label di Kevin Sounderson, KMS.
Col suo look colorato e il suo stile sbarazzino, smanetta su Roland, sintetizzatori e fa musica con vecchi giocattoli trovati chissà dove riuscendo a creare un’atmosfera sognante, tra suoni di un mondo fatato, cassa dritta e una voce sintetica.
Potremmo definirla “elettronica da camera” tanto è avvolgente e calda.
No, non è una fiaba. Siateci martedì, MERCOLEDì, venerdì, sabato e domenica a mezzanotte su Radio Eolie se non volete farvelo raccontare.
